Karissa Ross

Karissa Ross grew up in Seattle, Washington but moved to the Dallas area in 2002 for college and has never left. (She even bought a Dallas Mavericks 2011 Champions t-shirt, showing her allegiance to Dallas sports, at least when they are doing well and when basketball teams in Seattle have been sold.) During the day, she is a high school Academic Dean, volleyball coach and theater arts teacher. As a performer, Karissa has had opportunities all over the world. (Okay, so she performed in Scotland one time, but that makes it international, right?) As an emcee and sketch comedian, Karissa has performed in Glasgow, Chicago, Seattle, Charlotte, Dallas, and Waxahachie. She is a graduate from the improvisational comedy training programs at 4Day Weekend in Fort Worth and at Dallas Comedy House and currently performs regularly at both venues with Gangs of Recess, Local Honey, and Safety in Numbers. With her groups, she has performed at comedy festivals in Chapel Hill, San Francisco, New Orleans, Oklahoma City, Austin, and Dallas.Fun fact: Karissa can name all the U.S. Presidents in order.
