Thank you for commenting, Joshua. I agree, a strong character choice is a great way to keep scenes alive. And strong characters also immediately pull viewers into the scenes.

I’ve discovered the stronger my character choice at the beginning, the less likely I am to feel stuck in a scene. A rich character can offer a lot of perspective in response to what is happening in the scene. That and the threat of waterboarding the non-supporters after the show.

oh this is wonderful. right in line with the whole, “make everyone else look great on stage” theme i’m running with right now. i’ve heard, “take care of yourself” but I love “set someone else up”. being a selfless player makes everyone want to play with you. great post.
